The Strandell-Stille Retractor is a general purpose retractor that is used to mobilize tissues, either to improve the surgical field or protect underlying critical structures. The retractor has an overall length of 19 cm. The flat handle features horizontal serrations that greatly enhance the device's dexterity, and the long slender neck enables a maximized reach to deeper structures. The featured blade is L-shaped with a streamlined curve and a smooth rim to avoid injury to the surrounding tissues.
