Adson Self Retaining Retractors are general-purpose devices that are used to pull back the tissues on either side of surgical wounds in order to widen the surgical field. The finger ring handles greatly enhance the device’s dexterity, and the ratchet mechanism allows the handles to hold the device in the desired position. The blades are elongated, slender and laterally curving to avoid blocking the surgical view. Each blade features multiple descending prongs with sharp tips to apply retractions on a firm and thick tissue.
