Tungsten Carbide Metzenbaum Dissecting Scissors are most commonly used for dissecting and cutting tissue. These scissors are not recommended for cutting sutures, drains, or heavy tissue. Metzenbaum scissors tend to be shorter than traditional Metzenbaum scissors. These scissors feature tungsten carbide inserts a material much tougher than stainless steel enabling the scissors to last up to 6 times longer than standard inserts. The geometrical patterns on the inserts are introduced via Creep Feed Technology.
