The Yasargil Galea Hooks are bifurcated retractors used in craniotomy to pull back on the dense fibrous tissues that cover the upper part of the skull known as the galea aponeurotic. This is essential to gain access to the cranial bones and provides minimally traumatic retractions for craniotomy flaps. The double-pronged hook has a simple spring coil and a clamp that allows the assembly to be fixed to the drapes.
