The Obwegeser Channel Retractor is used in maxillofacial surgeries for the retraction of soft tissues on the mandible. The featured channel retractor is 16 cm in size. It has two dissimilar curved ends. the smaller curved end can be placed between the medial surface of the mandible above the lingula and the elevated periosteum to protect the inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle. The wider curve can be used to hold the inferior mandibular border during osteotomy to protect the facial artery. The featured retractor has a blade width of 10 mm, and a retractor with a blade width of 8 mm is also available.
